Network International launches EMV compliant mobility device

UAE-based payment solutions provider Network International is undertaking a pilot project to launch the region’s first EMV Compliant Mobility device that enables customers to make payments using their credit or debit cards at their homes. The pilot project will be conducted with selected merchants in the region such as ARZ Restaurants and The Room Service Group.

Network International developed its secure solution that promises to open up new opportunities for mobile commerce and drive greater efficiencies for merchants across the region in partnership with Synergistic Financial Networks. The EMV security standard, which requires the customer to enter the PIN and sign on the mobility device for purchases, is considered the most secure form of transaction by both Visa and MasterCard.

“Network International continues to play a leading role in transforming the UAE’s payment service industry and the launch of our pilot project further validates our commitment,” says Bhairav Trivedi, CEO, Network International.

“This facility clearly benefits our valued home delivery customers, giving them the option and convenience of paying with their debit or credit cards,” adds Kamal Hail Salah, general manager of ArzLebanon Restaurants.

“We look forward to providing our delivery staff with a smaller and lighter point of sale device. We expect it to soon evolve into a mini-device that fits into a shirt pocket,” points out Amer Arab, managing director of Room Service Deliveries.
