Swedish furniture retailer IKEA and Al-Futtaim Group, its franchise holder in the UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman, have unveiled the 24th edition of the annual IKEA Catalogue in the UAE.

Available in English and Arabic, the IKEA Catalogue for the UAE introduces a selection of new products into the IKEA range and features creative ideas to help refresh the look of homes for singles, couples and families living with children. It lists close to 1800 products with prices that the company guarantees will stay true for an entire year. Almost 1 million copies of the catalogue are available for the UAE, of which, 790,000 will be distributed door to door.

“The IKEA Catalogue is one of our main connections to our customers. It is the oldest IKEA tool to reach out to the many people who love and are interested in our brand. Every year we endeavour to offer new and creative solutions more relevant to our customers. The New 2014 IKEA Catalogue is a combination of all of those efforts and a beginning to a new year of exciting ideas and inspiration. It serves as a preparation tool for people planning their shopping list ahead and is an invitation to the many people to visit the store,” says John Kersten, managing director, IKEA-UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman.

“This year we have looked at the youngest and most important members of our family. We believe that every moment is special and needs to be cherished. The New 2014 IKEA Catalogue aims to create spaces that extend the playground from beyond a child’s room and across the home in its entirety. It encourages bringing the family together through simple activities and children’s involvement to create special moments. We hope that our product range and solutions will inspire our customers to engage their children in every activity through the day,” adds Kersten.
