Coca-Cola Co. repeated its forecast that profit growth next year may trail its long-term target. Profit growth next year won’t be significantly different, according to Coca-Cola. The company has a long-term goal of boosting annual earnings by a high single-digit percentage rate.
Coca-Cola has been working to confront concerns over obesity and artificial sweeteners in its home market while trying to rev up its international growth.
The company plans to reduce expenses by $3 billion a year by 2019 to help cope with the slump, says Coca-Cola CEO Muhtar Kent.
