Swedish furniture retailer IKEA has recently opened doors to a brand new café concept at the IKEA store exit in Dubai Festival City Mall.
Serving its famous PÅTÅR coffee and delicious snacks, shoppers can choose from a selection of homemade sandwiches, fresh salads and assorted cakes at the IKEA Café.
True to its passion for sustainability, IKEA’s PÅTÅR coffee, which means ‘second cup of coffee’, is both UTZ-certified and organic-certified according to EU standards. The coffee is made from hand-picked 100% Arabica beans, with taste profiles inspired by Scandinavian coffee preferences – a full aroma, with notes of fruits and chocolate.
PÅTÅR at IKEA is part of a four coffee product series, available in its restaurant, the Swedish Food Market and the newly-opened IKEA Café.
Worldwide, IKEA serves over 100 million cups of coffee every year, and since 2008, IKEA coffee has met the strict UTZ certification, which means the beans are grown using sustainable farming standards while ensuring better working conditions for farmers. But IKEA wanted to do even more to protect the land on which coffee grows, and as of October 2016, IKEA coffee adheres to the strict EU organic standards too.
