ADNOC to retail 50lbs LPG cylinders

ADNOC Distribution has announced that starting June 29, 50lbs LPG cylinders will be retailed across its service stations in Sharjah, Ajman, Umm Al Quwain, Ras Al Khaimah and Fujairah.

The decision allows UAE nationals with a Rahal E-Gas card to buy gas cylinders at a subsidised rate of AED30 per cylinder, the same retail price offered in Abu Dhabi. A monthly cap has also been set that permits the purchase of one 50lbs and two 25lbs cylinders on a monthly basis.

The move follows the directive of His Highness Sheikh Khalifa Bin Zayed Al Nahyan, UAE president and chairman of the Supreme Petroleum Council, and the follow-up of General Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, crown prince of Abu Dhabi and deputy supreme commander of the UAE Armed Forces.

“We commend the UAE leadership for their relentless efforts to ensure the well-being of our citizens. Our efforts to roll out the delivery of 50lbs LPG cylinders across our service stations in the emirates reflect ADNOC Distribution’s commitment to conforming to the direction of our wise leadership,” says Abdulla Salem Al Dhaheri, CEO of ADNOC Distribution.
