Dubai-based shopping mall, Al Ghurair Centre has announced the completion of phase one of the Reel Cinemas megaplex. This state-of-the-art cinema follows Reel Cinemas’ latest strategy of digitisation with a focus on reshaping ‘moviegoing’ as a distinctive ‘lifestyle experience’.

The first phase of the cinema experience will boast eight new screens that are underpinned by advance technology, displaying a vast genre of films including Hollywood blockbusters and the latest Bollywood and regional titles offering a diverse showcase. Located within a dedicated wing that is set across two floors, the new cinema’s F&B facilities offers movie essentials such as popcorn, nachos, hotdogs, candies, soft drinks and candy floss, among others.

Commenting on the opening of the new-generation Reel Cinemas, Sami Al Hakeem, vice president, Al Ghurair Centre, says, “The opening of Reel Cinemas has been carefully planned to offer a completely new experience within this part of Dubai and further enhance our daily visitors shopping & leisure experience. This launch is the first of several new brands and announcements lined up for this year under the revitalisation strategy that was launched last year. The all new Reel Cinemas megaplex will be the latest addition aiming to diversify and revitalise the leisure & entertainment offering at Al Ghurair Centre.”

Spread across 75,000 sqft, the remaining 10 screens are set to launch later this year. With the completion of all the phases, the new complex will feature a total of 1,800 seats across 18 screens. It will host several innovative firsts for Deira, including the Platinum Suites that offer superlative standards of in-cinema luxury like personalised butler services; and stunning viewing with Dolby Cinema and Reel Juniour. With Barco Laser Projectors and Dolby Atmos, viewers are assured of exceptional experiences.
