Aldar Properties PJSC has sold two plots of land in Alghadeer for community services. The contracts will see LuLu supermarket and other retail outlets, British curriculum Alghadeer International School and a community clinic open in Alghadeer.
The LuLu supermarket, with a GFA of 53,820 sqft, will primarily focus on grocery and supermarket products, with a product range that is specifically targeted at Alghadeer’s diverse population. Overall, the retail amenities will have a GFA of more than 322,915 sqft and will include a range of outlets as well as a community clinic, set to open in 2021.
On the other hand, the Alghadeer International School is a British curriculum private school, set to offer places for 1,500 students from FS1 to Grade 12 as well as a nursery offering early childhood education. The school is to be operational from September 2020.
“The addition of LuLu supermarket, retail outlets, Alghadeer International School and the clinic will increase the range of convenience-driven amenities and facilities for existing and future residents at Alghadeer, creating more complete neighbourhoods,” says Aldar CEO, Talal Al Dhiyebi. “Developing this community shows the momentum in the Alghadeer development and is in line with our strategy to deliver desirable destinations and provide residents with a truly enriched community living experience focused on comfort, accessibility and convenience.”
