Alexa, is it time for Prime yet?

Well, yes, it is in fact time for Amazon’s Prime Day all set to take place on July 11 & 12, 2023 giving Prime members many reasons to smile and global and local sellers an opportunity to ramp up promotions.

Your time starts…when?

Starting at 00:01am (local UAE time) on July 11 Prime Day will offer Prime members in the UAE “epic” deals for 48 hours across 30+ product categories including electronics, gaming, fashion, beauty, grocery, kitchen, home, health, sports and Amazon Devices.

Prime members have more reasons to smile since they don’t have to wait until Prime Day to start shopping. Deals on many products across a wide range of categories will start from July 4 on Amazon.ae. In addition, Prime members will also get to access Prime Day deals from Amazon US and UK via the Amazon.ae Global Store with free international shipping with no minimum purchase during the sale event.

What’s more, those interested can join Prime through a 30-day free trial to access Prime Day and enjoy shopping, entertainment, gaming and shipping benefits.

Over to delivery

Fast and free delivery will be ensured during the Prime Day sale period, the company emphasised. This is made possible by Amazon’s robust operations network in the UAE powered by a combination of innovative technology, optimised transportation services, dedicated employees and partners, facilitating same-day and one-day deliveries.

In a previous interview with RetailME, Prashant Saran, Director of Operations, Amazon MENA had said, “We are obsessed with our customers and this obsession continues even during peak periods. We always put the customer first and ask ourselves what will delight them and then work backwards to figure out how to innovate on their behalf. Planning for peak periods is ongoing throughout the year at Amazon. We build capacity, hire additional resources as needed and conduct several stress tests to ensure we can reach more customers across the region, faster and with a wider selection of products. We continue to strengthen the last-mile delivery network with our world-class technology and global processes and programmes to speed up delivery time for customers.”

In fact, the company recently opened a new facility in Dubai South increasing its storage capacity by 70% supporting a wider selection of products for customers. With a strong fulfilment network, eight delivery stations and a network of Delivery Service Partners across the emirates Amazon continues to build and scale this network in the UAE.
