Since its launch in October 2018, Saudi Arabia-based online marketplace ALMALL has recorded 30% monthly growth, traffic of two million users monthly with over one million registered users across the GCC, with a majority in Saudi Arabia. Founded by Mohammed Fahad Alharthi, ALMALL is now one of the key players in the KSA market.
Based on the constant increase in lifestyle shopping demand in the Middle East, ALMALL was created to provide a localised offer. Customers can shop across categories such as fashion, beauty, fragrances, home and electronics on ALMALL.
Highlighting expansion plans, Alharthi shares that by the end of this year, ALMALL will strengthen its presence in Saudi Arabia and will officially start its operations in the UAE, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain. After strengthening its foothold in the GCC, ALMALL will be introduced in the Levant countries in early 2020 where it has already tied with the main distributors and logistics partners. Thereafter, by the end of 2020, ALMALL plans to expand presence in North Africa, from Morocco to Egypt.
Alharthi’s plan is for ALMALL to entirely cover the MENA region by 2021, offering the best localised offer, fulfilling all households needs. To create a seamless customer experience from purchase to delivery, ALMALL is working with the leading companies for payment, logistics and last mile delivery services.
