Organised by Aldar Properties PJSC, the annual Aloha Abu Dhabi beach festival is back at the Al Raha Beach in the UAE capital. This five-day beach lifestyle event – to run from February 13-17 – will host family-fun activities, sports and free live entertainment in addition to and over 40 new and exciting food and retail pop-up stands.

Returning to Abu Dhabi for the third year in a row, Aloha Abu Dhabi is hosted at Al Muneera Beach Plaza, Abu Dhabi’s first waterfront retail development at Al Raha Beach. Taking its name from the Hawaiian word that means a heartfelt greeting and welcome, Aloha Abu Dhabi reflects Al Raha’s warm and welcoming spirit.

For water lovers, Aloha Abu Dhabi has partnered with luxury water transport company Jalboot to offer a wide range of enjoyable water sports activities. It will host volleyball competitions and a number of Aloha Games, whilst yoga and a Cinemagraph Zone are available for those who prefer to relax. To keep children entertained, the festival will feature a bouncy castle, a Kids Zone, live drawing and a Kids Edutainment Corner. Aloha Abu Dhabi will also dazzle visitors with its amazing daily light, sound and fire show, in addition to musical performance and live DJ.

To complete the family beach experience, Aloha Abu Dhabi will play host to food stands and chic boutique stands at its pop-up bazaar. With everything from indulgent sweet snacks to burgers and fresh seafood, Aloha Abu Dhabi will include over 40 culinary brands including Taqado Mexican Kitchen, Candylicious and Yamasaki Sushi Bar. To satisfy the fashionistas, the bazaar will also be selling an array of gifts from beauty products, plants, leather goods and clothes.

“In line with Aldar’s commitment to delivering an integrated lifestyle community, we want to create a family-focused event that brings everyone together for an unforgettable experience. Launched in 2016, in 2017 Aloha Abu Dhabi attracted over 20,000 visitors for this incredible annual Al Raha Beach event to enjoy the best family- friendly entertainment. Each year we evolve the event based on visitor feedback to deliver more of the activities, food and retail that people want, and this year is no exception, and promises to be the best Aloha festival yet,” says Zahra Al Ali, marketing manager from Aldar Properties.
