Axis introduces two major offerings

Sweden-based Axis Communications has introduced two new offerings across the Middle East during a launch event at the InterContinental Hotel Dubai Festival City. The products were introduced by Ettiene Van Der Watt, regional engineering & training manager at Axis Middle East & Africa and Ajith Surendran, sales engineer at Axis Middle East.

The new products are Axis Camera Station S10 recorder series, a ready recording solution comprising a series of network video recorders for high definition surveillance. It comes preloaded with all necessary software including licences and are preconfigured to minimise installation time. Completed with cameras from the Axis’ portfolio and monitors to form a plug and play solution for mid-sized installations up to 64 channels where active surveillance is needed.

Axis also introduced the Access Control, a new level of freedom for physical access control. Freedom that stems from the same open IP philosophy that Axis is known for in video surveillance. Traditional proprietary systems mean limited options, central servers with complex and expensive cabling as well as restricted possibilities for integration and scalability.

Surendran gave an overview on Axis A1001 Network Door Controller and explained how with Axis A1001, there is finally an open and future-flexible alternative for physical access control.

“The introduction of the new products in the Middle East is considered a significant step in the network video industry. It is part of our promise to keep offering the latest technologies and products to reach to all our customer segments and provide them with the best security solutions and services,”  adds Van Der Watt.
