Better for people, better for the planet: Nike Re-creates
Global brand Nike is committed to creating solutions to advance its circular vision of a zero-carbon, zero-waste future by engaging with the communities it operates in. Through its Nike Re-Creation programme, the brand collects local vintage and dead stock pieces and materials, and uses them to create new, locally designed and manufactured products.
Leveraging circular design principles every chapter of Nike’s Re-Creation programme collects obsolete products locally collected which are then re-created into wearable condition and locally distributed to serve city athletes.
After successful chapters in Los Angeles in 2022, the Nike Re-Creation programme arrived in London towards the end of April 2023 where it launched a one-of-one capsule collection of 25 pieces created in collaboration with London-based design project Greater Goods founded by Jaimus Tailor.
The next Re-Creation chapter is set to arrive in Paris in the summer of 2023 featuring a collaboration with Parisian designer Sarah Moh.
