The newest branch of Cupagahwa, a café and restaurant chain with an Arabic flavour, recently opened at A’l Bahar Corniche in Abu Dhabi. Cupagahwa is owned and operated by Binghatti Hospitality, the hospitality arm of Binghatti Holding.
Binghatti Hospitality has ambitious plans to open 200 Cupagahwa branches all over the UAE and Saudi Arabia within three years at an investment value worth more than AED500 million. With this vision, Binghatti Hospitality will soon open Cupagahwa in Sharjah’s University City, The Walk at Jumeirah Beach Residence and Dubai International Financial Centre’s Gate Avenue.
This wide expansion plan will be supported by a 6,000 sqft central kitchen facility, which will produce Cupagahwa’s signature menu offerings in Dubai, Abu Dhabi and Sharjah branches. Expected to open soon, this facility will include a training and development centre for the chain’s serving and management staff.
“We are proud to offer unique options to enjoy local Emirati flavours as well as western ones in the already operating Cupagahwa branches. We would like to expand the success of Cupagahwa all over the UAE and Saudi Arabia. Located in unexpected and exciting locations, Cupagahwa cafés and restaurants are excellent alternatives to fine-dining and fast-food restaurants,” says Muhammad BinGhatti, CEO, Binghatti Holding.
“We are continuously looking to develop and expand our hospitality portfolio in the UAE and other GCC countries to provide better products and value to our Cupagahwa enthusiasts. Determined to open 200 Cupagahwa branches in the UAE and Saudi Arabia during the three coming years, we are eager to take advantage of the great opportunities offered by the UAE’s environment as well the economic dynamism witnessed in Saudi Arabia. Our Cupagahwa brand added a great value to the UAE’s hospitality sector and we would like to extend this success to neighbouring countries,” he adds.
