Dubai-based online healthy-only groceries store BioBox.ae is offering a 20% discount to frontline workers, who are working round-the-clock amidst COVID-19, with a guaranteed free next-day delivery. To redeem the 20% discount on every order placed until the situation normalises, the frontline workers or ‘Real Life Heroes’ have to simply upload their professional ID on biobox.ae/heroes.

At a time when online grocery shopping and contactless delivery are need of the hour, BioBox.ae delivers fresh produce offering more than 500 different pantry and fridge essentials. These include a wide selection of premium and organic fruits and vegetables carefully selected from more than 50 ecological farms and suppliers from the UAE, Middle East and Europe.

“One of the core business values of BioBox.ae has always been food-safety and times like these underline the importance of this more than ever. We want to show our deep appreciation for the UAE’s ‘Real Life Heroes’ amazing and selfless effort, by providing more affordable access to high-quality and delicious food choices that contribute to their lasting health and happiness, state co-founders Alex Sfeir and Mahmoud El Khoja.

Who are you including among the ‘real heroes’ – only healthcare workers or also delivery personnel, grocery /pharmacy store managers and caregivers, among others?

Co-founders: Yes, we are offering this 20% discount to anybody who is risking infection on the front lines; basically, those who cannot afford to be confined. This includes healthcare workers in priority, but also anybody else who qualifies – for example, police.

Are you offering round-the-clock delivery to the frontline workers, since their schedule is erratic?

Co-founders: We are offering free next day delivery for everybody, with a very high rate of success. For exceptional cases we can bend our delivery policy.

Are you offering similar benefits to your own frontline employees, i.e., delivery & warehouse personnel?

Co-founders: Absolutely, our own frontline employees receive a special internal discount.
