Bottega Veneta opens largest Middle East store at The Dubai Mall

Italian luxury brand Bottega Veneta has launched a new – and the largest – boutique in the Middle East at The Dubai Mall’s Fashion Avenue.

Spanning 5,845 sqft over three floors, the store showcases an extensive range of Bottega Veneta products for both women and men, including ready-to-wear, handbags, small leather goods, shoes, jewellery, luggage, fragrances and eyewear. It will also feature a Customization Atelier, allowing clients to choose from an array of precious exotic skins and iconic styles to create an individualised bag.

The design of the store, conceived by creative director Tomas Maier, features metallic elements and warm neutral hues to create a sophisticated sense of comfort and intimacy. The store’s most striking feature is its exterior façade which uses a surreal design that echoes the iconic intrecciato weave. Made of metal in the brand’s signature dark brown, the top portion of the ‘weave’ is made of diamond-shaped cuts of metal, while the bottom section features transparent diamond-shaped windows which allow a view into the store. This architectural innovation is the largest of its kind that Bottega Veneta has created globally.

Inside, the ground floor opens up to a soaring space, its height emphasised by the vertical reach of the diamond portals. Among the notable design features are marble display cubes made of Gris du Marais stone chosen specifically for the store, and a glazed interior window which extends from the mezzanine over the first floor, creating a sophisticated sense of drama. The internal façade is a grand double height, and utilises panels of woven brushed brass to frame the entrance from inside the mall.

The lighting for the store is a unique concept for The Dubai Mall location. Each room features a raised, illuminated ceiling which gives off a diffuse and flattering light. Every element comes together to create a true experience.

“With this new opening, Bottega Veneta once again confirms its commitment to offering the best possible client experience,” says CEO Claus-Dietrich Lahrs. “We are looking forward to welcoming our clients into our new store to present them our distinctive universe of exceptionally crafted products.”

Celebrating the store opening, Bottega Veneta has on display a special collection exclusively available at The Dubai Mall boutique. The women’s collection features handbags from the Knot family in rose gold and diamonds as well as crocodile and ostrich handbags enriched with precious metals and stones. There are also four styles of women’s sandals in Caiman Metallic, in addition to silk accessories. The men’s collection includes luxurious crocodile-and-nappa carriers that are ideal for travel as well as slippers and sandals made of ostrich.
