Majid Al Futtaim announces the opening of its new Carrefour City store at the Burjuman metro station, highlighting the company’s ongoing partnership with Dubai’s Roads and Transport Authority (RTA).
The 2,500 sqft store, located at the heart of the station, brings a new level of convenience to on-the-go shoppers, while offering the best of Carrefour’s diverse product range at competitive prices. Shoppers can choose from the brand’s ready-to-eat range, including a variety of snacks and sandwiches in addition to an array of organic produce as well as everyday essential household goods. With designated ‘service points’ in stores, shoppers can top up their Nol cards, pay their bills and purchase mobile phone credit too.
Carrefour City Burjuman joins three other Carrefour City stores in Dubai, including Carrefour City Union and Al Fahidi, which are both under the RTA partnership. All Carrefour City stores are tactically positioned in local neighborhoods, easily accessible to communities and in highly populated areas such as transport terminals and shopping centres.
“The opening of the new Carrefour City store in Burjuman marks an important milestone for the partnership between Majid Al Futtaim and RTA. As the demand for convenient retail experiences increases, and the number of residents and communities in Dubai continues to grow, we always look for new ways to adapt our offering. Partnering with RTA allows us to reach a new shopper segment through our neighbouring convenience store concept and bring our unique Carrefour offering and great moments to an even wider customer base,” says Frank Rouquet, vice president Carrefour Market for the UAE, Qatar, Oman, Kuwait and Bahrain.
“Carrefour City Burjuman RTA is the third store to open under the Majid Al Futtaim and RTA partnership, and a significant step in the integration of RTA’s services. We look forward to continuing the enhancement of the travel experience of public transport users across Dubai through this pioneering partnership,” adds Abdullah Yousef Al Ali, CEO of RTA’s Rail Agency.
