Majid Al Futtaim’s City Centre Qurum in Oman has announced construction of a new car park structure on Level 2 that can accommodate 177 additional vehicles. This follows the Dubai-based developer, retail and leisure operator’s recent expansion announcement.

The new car park facilities, completed in time for the popular shopping and family time during Eid Al Fitr, has direct access to key attractions including Vox Cinemas, Magic Planet and the mall’s food court. The addition complements the 170 parking spaces that were recently made available to shoppers, resulting in a total of 1,055 parking spaces at City Centre Qurum.

“With convenience and accessibility for our visitors at the fore, we are delighted to have delivered additional car park spaces ahead of schedule, providing more spaces that access the most popular areas of City Centre Qurum,” says Watfa Humaid Al Harthy, senior mall manager, City Centre Qurum.

“Following the mall’s expansion announcement in March, City Centre Qurum’s redevelopment initiative is set to deliver an enhanced shopping experience. The additional parking facilities are a result of City Centre Qurum’s continued commitment to maintain and improve its facilities and services. From arriving at the mall, shopping, dining and enjoying world-class entertainment to then easily departing, City Centre Qurum strives to deliver the best shopping experience while we continue to create great moments for everyone, every day,” Al Harthy adds.

The OMR5 million expansion project, which is expected to be completed by end of 2016, will add 33,906 sqm of incremental leasable area to accommodate Centrepoint as a new anchor store, including Babyshop, Splash, Lifestyle and Shoe Mart.
