The Custom Shop New York launches Dubai’s first Tailor Truck

February 7, 2018 | By RetailME Bureau

The Custom Shop New York, a contemporary custom made suit couturier, has launched Dubai’s first Tailor Truck concept. The on-the-go tailoring service is set to bring made-to-measure suits and shirts closer to fashion enthusiasts across the city.

Conceived to resemble a traditional tailor shop, the truck offers a wide range of high-end suit fabrics and accessories to choose from. Equipped with the brand’s avant-garde 3D body scan technology that accurately analyses body shape to identify the perfect fit, the truck features a dedicated space that provides privacy for measurements and fittings with the assistance of specialists.

Following a visit to the Tailor Truck, customers can pass by their nearest The Custom Shop New York store for their first fitting and subsequently collect their suit from the truck or the store of their choice. They can also benefit from free home delivery on purchases above AED3,000.

“The Tailor Truck was born from a thorough understanding of the Dubai market. Knowing our clients, their needs and lifestyles have always been central to our operations. The truck provides the same degree of personalisation that we offer at our stores, including garment styling, monogramming and creative touches that truly reflect our customers’ personal style. Through this unique concept, we aim to make Dubai’s fashion-focused men realise that custom made suits, once considered an indulgence of the wealthy, have now become an affordable, easily accessible closet staple,” says Jamie Stone, business development manager at The Custom Shop New York.

Customers will soon find the quaintly designed truck touring popular events and community centres across Dubai.
