Daiso Japan opens second store in Ajman

Retail concept store Daiso Japan strengthens its presence in Ajman with the launch of its second store in the emirate, taking the total count to 52 stores in the GCC.

Having cultivated a strong affinity among consumers in the UAE, Kuwait, Bahrain and KSA, Daiso Japan creates a one-stop destination for the Ajman shoppers with its second store at City Centre Ajman, spanning 4,000 sqft. Bringing latest trends and innovative products, Daiso Japan promises to provide consumers a fun walk down the aisle where they will find over 70,000 products to choose from.

Daiso Japan brings the latest trends in the form of high quality products and value for money prices, which are exceptional unique selling points in this specific industry,” says Manu Mulchandani, COO, Daiso Japan, GCC.

The brand is aggressively growing in the region, with no signs of slowing down. Daiso Japan also opened a new store located in Sahara Centre’s new extension and boasts of approximately 6,590 sqft. The brand aims to continue its fast-paced expansion in 2018.

“A substantial part of Daiso Japan’s worldwide business is contributed by the GCC region. We have been building up our portfolio in the region by adding two to four stores every year. Our success in the region stems from customer loyalty,” adds Mulchandani.

Besides Japanese products, the store will also stock a range of 70,000 items for consumers to select from glassware and crockery to DIY products, gardening tools to gifts and novelties, even a range of cosmetics, living, gifting, toys and stationery, among others.

While worldwide the brand has more than 4,000 stores, there are 52 stores currently in the GCC region with 34 stores in the UAE, and the remaining 18 located across Kuwait, Bahrain, Qatar and Saudi Arabia. Daiso Japan operates in Middle East under the joint franchise ownership of Lals Group and Damas Group.
