Bahrain-based Dragon City, the new 1.2 million sqft mall development that’s under construction in the southwest corner of Diyar Al Muharraq City, has already pre-let over 60% of space, reveals Cluttons, international real estate consultancy and the official leasing agent of the retail project.

“With 60% of units now pre-let at Dragon City, it’s a significant milestone in the development set to transform the retail landscape in Bahrain. We continue to record significant interest from a wide range of retailers and wholesalers looking to increase their presence or position themselves in the Bahrain market,” says Harry Goodson-Wickes, head of Cluttons Bahrain.

“Dragon City aims to attract customers from a variety of demographics, with a range of income profiles as well as consumers looking to capitalise on quality Chinese and local products at wholesale prices. In addition to meeting customer demands, it will also allow for the provision of employment opportunities in the local jobs market. We expect even greater interest in the remaining units prior to the development’s official launch later this year.”

Set to cater to both wholesale and retail consumer bases, the unique design of Dragon City is infused with Chinese architectural and cultural aspects and will incorporate 750 retail store units with 48,437 sqft designated for warehouse space.
