Nakheel Malls has scored a deal with Ahdaaf Sports Club to bring an outdoor, rooftop football and cricket complex to Dragon Mart.

Ahdaaf, which means ‘goals’ in Arabic, has two seven-a-side astroturf football pitches and two cricket batting nets on the roof of Dragon Mart 2. The 73,000 sqft, floodlit complex is available for individual matches, tournaments, team building events and corporate sports days.

“Dragon Mart’s retail, recreation and leisure offering continues to grow.  Ahdaaf is an exciting addition to this world-famous shopping and entertainment hub, and is sure to be a winner with residents and businesses in the surrounding communities and beyond. In addition, its super-convenient location on our park roof means people can literally ‘park and play’,” said Omar Khoory, managing director, Nakheel Malls.

“We are delighted to add this location to our ever-growing portfolio of sports venues throughout the UAE. This unique new rooftop sporting experience is the ideal venue for people to stay active through their favourite team sports,” added Yousuf Al Hashimi, managing partner, Ahdaaf.

Ahdaaf is the latest recreational activity at Dragon Mart 2, with the others including a multi-screen Novo Cinemas complex, a Fabyland family entertainment zone and dozens of cafés and restaurants.

Owned and operated by Nakheel Malls, the retail arm of master developer Nakheel, Dragon Mart attracts more than 40 million global visitors a year.
