The Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group’s ongoing jewellery campaign, held in association with Dubai Festivals and Retail Establishment (DFRE) has resulted in shoppers flocking to the 175 jewellery retail outlets across Dubai helping with the recovery of the sector.

Till now, 60 lucky jewellery shoppers have grabbed 15 kilos of gold and 40 shoppers still have a chance to win 10 kilos of gold. Like every year, the DGJG campaign is one of the biggest highlights for DSF 2021 and has been special for both the buyers and the retailers.

Tawhid Abdullah, Chairman, Dubai Gold &Jewellery Group said “With an excellent chance of winning one kilogram of gold every alternate day, this year’s DSF is an exciting time for gold jewellery shoppers. We have seen a good mix of resident and tourist coming to the jewellery stores making purchases. Gold has always been the best value asset, and rewards during the DSF makes it even more special and memorable for the shoppers. I congratulate all the winners and would like to wish the best to all the jewellery shoppers for the win.”

He added “Dubai Shopping Festival has always been a peak sale season for Dubai’s jewellery trade. So far, our promotions are being received very well and currently with the gold prices being favorable to the current buyers, we are expecting a surge with the buying trend during this promotion. Some of the participating outlets have witnessed 22-30% increase in sales.”

H.E Laila Suhail, Board Member & Chairperson – Marketing – Dubai Gold & Jewellery Group and CEO, Strategic Alliance and Partnerships Sector DCTCM and Entities, commented: “The Group has been closely working with all Government institutions and departments to further grow and support the jewellery sector and retail in general. Various promotional campaigns launched by UAE contributes to strengthen the retail trade sector within the emirate. For instance, we are already planning ideas for the recently announced federal domestic tourism campaign ‘World’s Coolest Winter campaign’, which we believe will contribute to an increased number of visitors to the emirate and in turn will revitalize the retail trade sector as a whole. With all this and more, we are confident that 2021 will be a special year for the sector.”

Apart from the daily draws, shoppers will have a second chance to win big with the mega raffle draw that will be hosted on the last day of DSF, i.e. January 30. Buy jewellery worth AED 500 from any of the participating retailers and avail the lucky raffle coupons. Apart from the participating outlets, jewellery shoppers will also be able to participate in the raffle promotion with their jewellery purchases from the shops in concourse B at Terminal 1, concourse C at Terminal 3 and Terminal 2 of the Dubai airports.
