Dubai Outlet Mall has joined hands with Friends for Cancer Patients this Ramadan to provide some of their patients with free Eid shopping. The initiative called “Joy of Eid – Making a Difference in this year of Zayed” is part of Dubai Outlet Mall’s commitment to the Year of Zayed, whose values include the extension of support for people and communities in need.

The initiative saw the Friends for Cancer Patients bring their patients to the mall wherein children gathered for Iftar. They were also given an opportunity to shop at the participating retail outlets in the mall. Uber provided free transport to and from the mall.

The Joy of Eid campaign is part of Dubai Outlet Mall’s ongoing efforts and commitment to ensure a joyous Eid to the underprivileged children in the UAE. The initiative was supported by the following outlets: French Bakery, Chowking Orient Restaurant, Piero Pizza, Pasta & Grills, El Mondo Express, Curries and Grills, Noon-O-Kabab, Sacoor Outlet, Fashion For Less, Saucony Outlet, V Brand Gallery Outlet, Aster Pharmacy, Carter’s Outlet, U. S. Polo Outlet, The Happy Place Outlet and Al Jaber Optical Outlet.

Following the free shopping spree at participating retailers and the Iftar meal, the fun day for the kids ended with a dress up event at a “Pop Up” feature at the Dubai Outlet Mall. An additional element of the campaign saw Dubai Outlet Mall, in association with some of its F&B outlets, providing local labour camp workers with Iftar food boxes. Iftar packages were also handed out to taxi drivers present at the mall during sunset.

On the other hand, shoppers have been able to benefit from a wide range of special bargains up to 90% from their favourite premium brands over the Ramadan and Eid period at the Dubai Outlet Mall. A Shop & Win Campaign has also run, with prizes worth up to AED250,000. There were special activities too such as face painting, Ramadan paper lantern making and henna adornments.
