The Dubai Parks and Resorts will open on September 23, 2020, as DXB Entertainments PJSC has announced the temporary suspension of the theme park operations implemented in March 2020. The company will, in the interim, focus on the rollout of the enhancement programme and completion of maintenance works.

The enhancement programme will introduce 12 new rides to Dubai Parks and Resorts. Installation of eight rides will be completed by Q3 2020, with the remaining four rides expected to be completed by Q4 2020.

“As Dubai is getting ready to welcome back tourists with the opening of the leisure and entertainment sector, we are eager to welcome back our guests with new rides and experiences for the entire family. The summer period has historically been the low season for visitation to the theme parks. We are therefore utilising this period to complete the maintenance works and focus on the enhancement programme for MOTIONGATE Dubai and Bollywood Parks Dubai,” said Mohamed Almulla, managing director and CEO, DXB Entertainments PJSC. “With the addition of record-breaking thrill rides and new family-friendly rides, we are sure that Dubai Parks and Resorts will continue to delight, offering unique and fun-filled experiences for all ages, without compromising on the health and safety of our guests and employees.

“Annual pass holders will receive an automatic extension in the membership period equivalent to the period of current closure. We are excited for the new season and look forward to welcoming our guests in due course,” he added.
