Restauranteur Natasha Sideris – founder, managing executive and creative director of the South African tashas café brand – has announced the opening of her new licensed casual chic dining concept Flamingo Room by tashas at Jumeirah Al Naseem hotel in Dubai next month.

The 200-seater café, which is the largest tashas concept to date, will showcase stunning interior architecture by global design firm B&S Studio. They will be harmoniously balanced with elegant swathes of peach and pink, taking inspiration from the fauna and flora of Africa with a gentle nod to the style signatures of the 70s. Embellished references to the African sky with hints of playfulness are delicately interwoven with modern, unique and classic elements, encouraging a lively interplay between the bars, lounge, casual dining restaurant and terrace areas.

Flamingo Room by tashas has also collaborated with the unique South African retail brand, Collective by Charles Greig, which has appropriated a share of the space for its own shop, reinforcing the ode to African heritage and showcasing the glamour of the continent in a unique and contemporary form that comfortably sits within the International retail scene. It is where African opulence meets the sophisticated dining landscape of Dubai but with the casual comfort and homely ambience the tashas brand is renowned for.

An uncomplicated and clean menu reflects a commitment to quality ingredients and showcases an impressive variety of revamped classics and simply glamourous dishes with stunning flavours. The restaurant will be open for breakfast, brunch, lunch easing into a chic relaxed evening environment for dinner and drinks.

“The Middle East is full of amazing opportunities and I am thrilled to announce the opening of Flamingo Room by tashas at the Jumeirah Al Naseem Hotel. As is our way, we will be offering the same acclaimed service and quality of products that tashas has built its international reputation on, offering our guests a different but distinctive experience,” says Sideris. “We want our Flamingo Room customers to feel comfortable and relaxed in a sophisticated environment, I always say, it’s like putting your feet up on an insanely expensive couch.”
