UAE-based manufacturer of chocolates containing camel milk, Al Nassma, is taking its premium products to duty free outlets across the globe, after a tie-up with Germany-based Gebr. Heinemann, a travel retailer.

Launched in 2008, the manufacturer is present in GCC countries, Far East, Europe and the US. In the region, its products are sold in specialty shops, 50 hotels and 10 airports. Globally, the company’s products were only found in specialty shops and department stores till now.

“Since our company’s launch in 2008 we succeeded to establish ourselves as a local brand in most duty frees in the Middle Eastern region. Partnering with Gebr. Heinemann gives us the opportunity to enter new markets and to grow from a local brand into an internationally meaningful player,” says Martin van Almsick, general manager at Al Nassma Chocolate.

As a first step of this newly established partnership, Al Nassma camel milk chocolate products are now available at Vienna and Istanbul airports duty frees.

“Gebr. Heinemann is always striving to optimize its product range by offering products representing latest trends and exclusivity,” says Rüdiger Stelkens, purchase director (tobacco and confectionery), Gebr. Heinemann.

“The confectionery segment is one of the strongest categories in travel retail and we believe it is important to constantly innovate and re-invent ourselves. Therefore we enjoy working with brands representing innovative concepts and adding something exclusive and unique to our portfolio. Being different, unusual and exciting, those are the criteria we are looking for. Al Nassma is fulfilling this benchmark perfectly,” he adds.
