Géant to open more than 20 stores in the UAE in 2023
Part of regional retail conglomerate GMG, Géant plans to open more than 20 stores in the UAE in 2023 to expand its regional footprint. The opening of its first supermarket in the UAE at Citylife Al Jurf in Ajman sets the pace for Géant’s forthcoming growth in the new year.
Meanwhile, with its customer friendly open-air market look and feel, the new Géant store offers an abundance of choice and quality from the freshest groceries, imported and local fresh produce, meats, global foods and a mix of day-to-day essentials ensuring great variety and great value.
Home delivery will also be available via local delivery platforms delivering the promise of a convenient grocery experience at your doorstep.
“Géant’s supermarket concept is designed specifically to serve busy and active neighbourhoods and communities where choice, convenience and value are top priorities,” said Marc Laurent, President of Consumer Goods at GMG.
“The new format resonates with the discerning customer, with a wide selection of groceries, easy to access shelves and excellent staff to assist and guide at all touch points in and around the supermarket. Add to this our promise of an unrivalled offering for the best prices and you have a family-friendly concept that fits into the quintessential UAE lifestyle. This, our flagship store in Ajman, is certain to set the benchmark for supermarkets across the UAE, in terms of layout and experience and we look forward to using this ribbon cutting as a springboard for our growth plan to open more than 20 stores in the UAE in 2023, focusing on serving the neighbourhood communities and offering value and variety to meet all their shopping needs,” he added.
Géant is also known regionally for its strong commitment to environmental sustainability and promoting a positive and cohesive community lifestyle, aligned with GMG’s positioning as a global well-being company. The new supermarket in Ajman will, for example, embrace and support UAE’s single-use plastic-free agenda as well as focus on housing local fresh produce.
