UAE-based Ghassan Aboud Group owned supermarket chain Grandiose has opened its sixth outlet in Shafar Complex, Jumeirah Beach Road. The opening marks the rapid and successful expansion trajectory across the UAE.

Grandiose’s long-standing commitment towards sustainability has removed single-use plastic bags at checkout counters while using non-plastic cutlery in its ‘grab and go’ section. Further, through REFIL – one of many eco-friendly initiatives from Grandiose – the company is making it easier for customers to reuse product packaging, potentially saving significant volumes of unnecessary plastic and packaging waste.

In a bid to drive sustainability and increase awareness amongst its shoppers, Grandiose supermarkets gave its first 100 shoppers, a reusable shopping bag filled with free samples and exclusive products.

Also, Grandiose is dedicated to focusing on community initiatives and plans to host programmes to ensure an increase in awareness amongst its shoppers that will combat the global plastic pollution crisis and reduce food wastage. Grandiose supermarkets recently concluded an interactive seminar at Dubai Youth Hub called “How to become Eco-friendly Citizens” designed to provide a platform for youth to expand their knowledge while simultaneously becoming more aware and connected with the environment.

Located on Jumeirah Beach Road, the 8,306 sqft supermarket has on offer to the Jumeirah residents and community an experiential shopping experience. Grandiose supermarket is also equipped to provide gourmet offerings in addition to its full variety of conventional groceries and wide-ranging prepared food section. Through its partnership with leading European food retailer – Intermarche, Grandiose offers an impressive assortment of healthy and nutritious products selected to meet the astute needs of consumers.

Grandiose is a concept store that opened its doors in 2016, providing grocery and ready to eat products with an emphasis on health and freshness. Grandiose has established a partnership with the French retail giant Intermarché and aims to open more than 30 outlets in the coming years.
