Adding more vibrancy to the regional beauty and personal care market, Danish brand Rituals Cosmetics has made its Middle East foray in partnership with the Dubai-based retail conglomerate Apparel Group.

The first Rituals Cosmetics has been launched in Dubai’s Mall of Emirates. This will be followed by a second mall at Marina Mall in Abu Dhabi next week.

Started by founder and CEO Raymond Cloosterman in 1999 when Rituals Cosmetics combines beauty with lifestyle. “At Rituals we are passionate about enriching life with beautiful things. We are not just another cosmetics brand. Our extensive collection of beautifully designed products is inspired by ancient Eastern traditions which help encourage a well-balanced lifestyle,” Cloosterman explains.

Rituals Cosmetics’ wide product portfolio includes body care, skin care, precious mineral make-up, pure tea, scented candles and fragrance sticks – transforming every day routines into more meaningful moments.

Commenting on the brand’s UAE expansion, Cloosterman says, “Over the past 10 years, Rituals has become one of the fastest growing luxury brands in Europe. We strongly believe that the UAE market will also offer great potential.”

The opening of the first Rituals Cosmetics store in Amsterdam in 2000 was followed by launches in several other vibrant cities such as London, Madrid, Antwerp, Paris, Lisbon, Berlin, Stockholm, São Paulo and New York. One of the most recent markets for Rituals is Germany where it has set up 100 stores in six years and 400 shop-in-shops. Today, there are over 350 Rituals stores, more than 1,000 shop-in-shops and four City Spas in 21 countries worldwide. It also has significant presence in the travel retail domain.
