Homestead Restaurant and Bakery opens at The Yard

Home-grown eatery Homestead Restaurant and Bakery is the latest in a long line of food and beverage concepts to open its doors at Dubai’s eclectic new destination The Yard, located in the neighbourhood of Al Khawaneej.

Homestead Restaurant and Bakery aims to attract residents from the local community and beyond. It’s charming and creatively upcycled barn-like ambience seamlessly blends in with the surrounding rural hinterland.

With its warm and relaxed vibe, Homestead Restaurant and Bakery offers visitors a home-away-from-home experience, inviting them to socialise and unwind in a laid-back atmosphere. Meanwhile, fans of alfresco dining can enjoy resplendent views of a tranquil lake complete with a picturesque esplanade and a floral canopy bridge.

Seating 234 guests and spanning 8,700 sqft, Homestead Restaurant and Bakery encompasses a full-fledged restaurant that is open for breakfast, lunch and dinner, and an adjoining in-house bakery and pastry kitchen that serves handcrafted artisanal bread, pastries and cakes all day.

The interiors have been carefully styled to reflect the distinct character of each half of the outlet’s two-fold offering. While the restaurant mixes upholstered antiques with contemporary furnishings in a melange of colours, the bakery’s muted pastel tones create a casual setting.

The restaurant offers a multitude of wholesome traditional cuisines to choose from, including Emirati, Indian and Persian with a local twist, as well as popular international favourites. Using organic and sustainably sourced ingredients where possible, the menu also includes detox options. The eatery includes a retail element too that sells organic honey, tea and freshly baked bread onsite.
