Huawei Consumer Business Group reports 81% y-o-y sales growth in the UAE

The Huawei Consumer Business Group announced that sales of its smartphones, wearables, tablets and PCs have increased by 81% in the UAE on a year-on-year basis, during the first half of 2019 – from January 1 to May 31.

The strong performance of Huawei in the UAE market is attributed to the continuous support by local retail and telecom partners as well as consumers. HUAWEI P30 series, particularly, has won over a large number of users due to its Leica Quad Camera, never-seen-before zooming reach, low-light photography performance, 4,200mAh battery and a powerhouse flagship performance.

Notably, Huawei invests a significant amount of its annual sales revenue to research and development (R&D) efforts, and has established 14 research centres around the world. According to EU Industrial R&D Investment (2018), Huawei ranked No.5 globally amongst top spending companies in R&D.

Currently, Huawei’s products and services are available in more than 170 countries. The brand ranked second globally in mobile phone shipments in Q1 2019 with a well-rounded portfolio targeting all segments.
