Swedish retailer Ikea has recently launched a first-of-its-kind concept store in Al Ain. Spread across approximately 26910 sqft and situated next to Bawadi Mall, this store complements the larger Ikea outlets in Dubai Festival City and Yas Island in the UAE.
While almost 2,500 products will be available for viewing at Ikea’s Al Ain concept store, over 7,500 products are available online. Purchases can be made either at the store or online and can be collected after two days with free delivery and assembly available on minimum purchases or against a small fee.
“The customer ordering and collection point is yet another channel bringing the Ikea brand even closer to the residents of Al Ain and surrounding areas. And the UAE being an extremely dynamic market will adapt well to the new format,” says John Kersten, managing director – Ikea UAE, Qatar, Egypt and Oman.
Ikea started rolling out the new concept stores in March, with the first located in Spain’s Pamplona with another two stores coming up in Canada before end of this year.
