iMall, Sharjah’s newest mall, developed by Nice Home Real Estate is all set to open today, with grand opening celebrations to take place on the first day of Eid al-Fitr.

Spanning 125,000 sqft, this new mall, initially launched against the backdrop of a rising demand for consumer technology gadgets in the UAE, has now evolved into a value-based shopping mall offering a portfolio of fashion and lifestyle brands along with an array of core-concept (IT) shops.

As initially envisioned, iMall seeks to meet the growing demand from consumers for IT and communication-related products in both retail and wholesale segments. However, with the addition of a new product category, a department store, the mall will now offer a complete family experience.

Speaking about the launch, Monir Lotfi, director, iMall, says, “iMall provides unique deals across all its product categories, and incomparable leisure and edutainment experiences. With the addition of a department store, we couldn’t have picked a better date to launch the mall as it provides people in the UAE a new shopping and entertainment destination during Eid al-Fitr.”

“We look forward to welcoming everyone to iMall for our grand opening celebrations commencing on the first day of Eid al-Fitr. We have planned a number of activities catering to families. Some of these activities include an LED light show; an Ariel act; special entertainment by dancing robots from Spain; and a digital caricature artist, among other things. We also have special offer booklets, car raffles and prizes planned for mall visitors during Eid.”

Some of the technology retailers at iMall include Goldgenie, a UK-based company entering the UAE market offering specialised services in luxury gold-plating of mobile phones, accessories and other gadgets; National Store, the authorised master distributor of Canon, Moser, SanDisk and other brands, will also be launching its flagship home-brand retail outlet in iMall; and Adawliah, an electronic musical equipment retailer with 34 outlets in Saudi Arabia and four outlets in Kuwait will be launching a unique experience zone as part of their retail store. Other popular mobile phone retailers include Fone Souq by AMT, HiTech, Jasur Al Falah, Rukn Al Zahra (Variety) Computers, Marsa, Fonetel, Quick Link, Al Darah, Haran and Al Madar Al Raqmi, among others.

Additionally, iMall features departmental store Joanna catering to the shopping needs of the family – men, women and children alike. The entertainment area is known as the ‘Game District’, designed with a focus on technology showcasing the latest and most popular collection of video arcade games from across the globe. Visitors will have to go through a special vortex tunnel at iMall to enter this world of hi-tech gaming. Key highlights of the district include a unique laser maze challenge from Germany, premium soft play section from Japan, Creative Robotics CR8 that will have special classes to teach children the science of designing and engineering robots and more.

iMall will provide visitors with a wide array of dining options such as Burger King, Texas Chicken, Grab N Go, Kal’s Chicken and Meat Barrel, to name a few. Additionally, the mall is equipped with amenities that will benefit both visitors and tenants, including Wi-Fi connectivity across the mall, state-of-the-art IT infrastructure and other essential facilities needed to complete the ideal shopping experience.

iMall is strategically located close to the border between Dubai and Sharjah, and is easily accessible for consumers from Abu Dhabi, Dubai and the northern emirates.
