Abu Dhabi-based real estate developer, IMKAN has appointed Aswaq Management Services (AMS) to manage commercial leasing across its UAE flagship developments, including Sheikha Fatima Park and The Artery at Makers District.

AMS’s appointment includes the retail, F&B and leisure provisions at The Artery at Makers District. The-Artery is the double helix parking structure and event space anchoring Makers District, a mixed-use development strategically located on Reem Island in Abu Dhabi. A cultural hub serving as the new heart the capital, this scenic waterfront master plan also offers contemporary and dynamic living complemented by a myriad of amenities, services and retail concepts.

Sheikha Fatima Park, spanning 495,140 sqft, is currently under redevelopment and is set to open to the public at the end of 2019. The urban park is envisioned as a multifaceted space, designed around the wellbeing of the community. AMS is looking to place a mix of innovative, home-grown, active retail concepts along with a large F&B offering in this beautiful outdoor park. Sheikha Fatima Park will also boast co-working spaces, art and music schools, health, wellness and fitness provisions and entertainment concepts which makes it an ideal year-round lifestyle destination for the entire Abu Dhabi community.

“IMKAN’s unique research-led approach drives value to buyers and stakeholders alike. This ideology also dictates our strategy to partner with like-minded international organizations, such as AMS that have a proven track record in delivering outstanding results. We look forward to our partnership with AMS as we onboard a mission to revitalize the community and we encourage local, regional and global businesses to join us on our journey,” says Walid El-Hindi, CEO, IMKAN

“AMS is always keen to partner with innovative organisations, such as IMKAN, which play a key role in revitalising the real estate and retail sectors through its unique placemaking approach in Abu Dhabi. Our retail leasing and management experience is perfectly aligned with their vision and development strategy, so we are looking forward to a successful and long-term partnership with IMKAN,” adds AMS chairman, Nasser Al Nowais.
