Indian restaurant Hitchki to debut in Dubai

A new Indian restaurant called Hitchki – which means hiccup in Hindi – is all set to arrive in Dubai this month. Located at The Grand Millennium Hotel in Barsha Heights, the Hitchki franchise – owing to its strong Bollywood influence – is an ode to nostalgia with a menu that reads like a gastropub and music that will tempt diners to tap their feet.

Hitchki, already a favourite dining spot in Mumbai, promises to serve up modern Indian cuisine with a twist. It will offer a new spin on many childhood favourites, offering regional and traditional flavours from across India. These will be brought together with a medley of alternative cuisines from around the world, including bountiful options for vegetarians and vegans too. Those with a sweet tooth will have enough to choose from. The restaurant will also serve an Instagram-worthy beverage menu.

Spanning 6,000 sqft, Hitchki will seamlessly transform from day to night. Its quirky decor and vivid wall art promise to transport diners back to the past. “It’s a very chic Indian concept for the global audience, adapted to the Middle Eastern palette,” says Arjun Raj Kher, brand head of Hitchki. “It’s casual and energetic ambiance along with its nostalgic food and drink elements make it the perfect place for themed evenings. And a signature will be the Bollywood Nights, since Bollywood has been a major hit in Dubai.”
