Italian mono-brand cosmetic chain Bottega Verde has joined Dubai-based Apparel Group’s portfolio of brands as part of its regional expansion strategy. Apparel Group will represent Bottega Verde across the Middle East.

Bottega Verde, known for its production and sale of cosmetics made from natural ingredients, was established in 1972 in the Tuscany region of Italy. In 1992, the Lavino family took over the business. The new owners were a prime example of Italian entrepreneurial skill, combining their innate aptitude for innovation and high level of expertise to make the brand the success it is today.

“Today we are the number one Italian mono-brand cosmetic chain that produces and retails cosmetics made from active natural ingredients. We are proud of having over six million customers, a figure that continues to grow,” says Benedetto Lavino, CEO, Bottega Verde.

Bottega Verde’s ambitious expansion strategy is in full swing. In addition to the home market, the brand is currently distributed in more than 25 countries in four continents and its objective is to be the top Italian cosmetics brand worldwide.

“We are very happy that we found the right partner Apparel Group to represent us. Together, we have drawn up an ambitious plan and we hope to open 20 stores this year in the region,” reveals Lavino.
