JLL reveals F&B trends in KSA

June 8, 2020 | By RetailME Bureau

Variety of homemade traditional and beetroot spread hummus with pine nuts, olive oil, pomegranate served on ceramic plates with pita bread and green salad on white marble background. Flat lay, space.

In its latest report, JLL reveals four major food and beverage (F&B) trends to watch out for in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) during 2020, which will continue to shape the growth of the industry.

“At the time of data collection and analysis, our region had not yet experienced the social and economic consequences of the outbreak of COVID-19,” JLL stated. “While the F&B landscape is expected to change, with restaurants facing cash-flow and operational restrictions, we remain positive in our outlook for the industry’s growth and the shift in trends.”

The four trends identified by JLL include emphasis on overall experience; healthy and sustainable eating; emergence of more home-grown brands; and rise in delivery and dark kitchens.
