Jones the Grocer to open at Emirates Golf Club

Emirates Golf Club is set to open a fully-licensed branch of the Australian food emporium Jones the Grocer. Ahead of the Club’s 30th anniversary year in 2018, the club is undergoing something of a transformation, with the new Jones the Grocer F&B development set to open in Q4 2017, pioneering the changes.

The new Jones the Grocer will be introduced on the ground floor of the clubhouse, where Spike Bar was previously located that will be moving to a new home on the first floor. Jones the Grocer will bring its passion for great food and retail products to a new location, with the venue open to members and non-members alike.

This partnership is also designed to draw in a new crowd of ‘non-golfers’, with features like a kids’ play area, lounge seating area and an extended bar, all set within the heart of Emirates Golf Club’s luscious, green landscape.

In addition to the brand new restaurant fit-out with indoor and outdoor seating options, there will also be a grab-and-go counter offering a range of coffees, sandwiches and snacks, ideal for golfers before or after their round. This is alongside the classic Jones style café menu with a new addition of pork products.

There will also be shelves of retail items like tea, coffee, jams and chutneys, plus a dedicated charcuterie counter and artisan cheese room.

“We love the Jones the Grocer concept and after successful discussions with their team, we feel there is a great opportunity to create something special at Emirates Golf Club. We very much look forward to working together on this exciting joint venture,” says chef Max Grenard, corporate food and beverage director, Emirates Golf Club.
