Jordan’s homegrown restaurant The Pit to open in Dubai

Homegrown in Jordan The Pit – House of Barbecue will open its first-ever franchise in the UAE at City Walk, Dubai this November. The brand is known for its high-quality slow-smoked meats. Currently outside of Jordan The Pit has branches in Erbil, Iraq, and is looking to expand across the GCC.

The Pit was founded by entrepreneur Ghaith Saadeldin in 2018. Established in Amman the venue started as a 28 sqm (roughly 300 sqft), hole-in-the-wall restaurant serving up slow-cooked meats of lamb and beef, primarily to friends and neighbours. By 2019, its growing popularity propelled Saadeldin to set up in one of the city’s busiest districts Abdoun Al Shmali filled with tourists and locals alike. Its now considered the brand’s flagship restaurant in Amman seating up to 60 guests.

The Dubai branch of The Pit will be situated next to City Walk Boulevard Street and will seat up to120 guests. The restaurant will feature an indoor and outdoor seating area, a juice bar and a sleek open kitchen with the brand’s custom-made smoker front and centre.

Commenting on The Pit’s soon-to-open restaurant in Dubai, Ahmad Al Dada, Managing Partner of The Pit – House of Barbecue in Dubai said, “This is a pivotal moment for us at The Pit.
