Kidtainment adventure during Dubai Shopping Festival

January 19, 2022 | By RetailME Bureau

Throughout the month of January, Dubai Shopping Festival will help parents keep the kids entertained with a packed calendar of family-friendly activities and live shows. From the magical world of Harry Potter at Mall of the Emirates to Dora the Explorer and Paw Patrol at Dubai Festival City Mall, many of their favourite characters will be making a special appearance for the 27th edition of the world’s longest running shopping festival.

The world’s most famous wizard will bring a touch of magic to Mall of the Emirates until 4 February.  In collaboration with Warner Bros, the one-of-a-kind Harry Potter Experience, the first of its kind in the region, will feature large-scale artistic installations of some of the most iconic scenes from the books and films. For free entry, visitors will simply need to spend AED 300 at Mall of the Emirates.

For kids who love Dora the Explorer, Paw Patrol’s Marshall and Chase and the fabulous Shimmer and Shine stars, look no further than Dubai Festival City Mall which is playing host to musical extravaganza, Nickelodeon Rocks, until 25 January. Down at Expo 2020 Dubai, kids can get to know the official mascots, Rashid and Latifa as they embark on an exciting new journey led by Salama the Ghaf tree, while discovering all the site has to offer.  Rashid and Latifa along with the guardians of the Mobility, Opportunity and Sustainability Pavilions – Alif, Opti and Terra – make regular appearances to entertain the kids and their official merchandise from the Expo retail stores will keep young explorers happy when they get home.

Elsewhere in the city, there will be a spectacular Madagascar meet-and-greet with stars of the hit movies and plenty of family friendly activities in the 360-degree Stars of the Jungle pop-up at City Centre Mirdif from January 20-29. Simply spend AED 300 or more in the mall for full access to all the entertainment. For more information on dates and time, please visit  www.mydsf.ae and follow the hashtag #mydsf on social media channels. Dubai’s malls, retail stores and attractions are all continuing to adhere to stringent COVID-19 health and safety protocols issued by public health authorities, while taking all the necessary precautions to keep visitors and shoppers safe and at ease.
