Kuehne + Nagel’s LEED-certified warehouse extension comes up at Dubai World Central’s Logistics City

Phase II of international logistics provider Kuehen + Nagel’s state-of-the-art logistics centre has opened at Dubai World Central’s (DWC) Logistics City. Phase II’s addition of around 150,695 sqft of space to the warehouse and mezzanine brings the l ogistics centre’s total covered area to 333,681 sqft. The expansion was carried out as part of Kuehne + Nagel’s growth initiative and will strengthen its ability to support customers in the UAE’s fast-moving consumer goods, hotel amenities, emergency/relief and aviation sectors.

The expansion project was recently awarded a LEED (Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design) Gold rating by the US Green Building Council (USGBC), reflecting the company’s commitment towards sustainability. The project complements DWC’s focus on encouraging sustainable developments in the UAE ahead of the Dubai World Expo 2020.
