Laguna Waterpark turns one in May

Dubai-based Laguna Waterpark will celebrate its first anniversary in May 2019. Located in La Mer, Laguna Waterpark is an aqua marine paradise full of slides, sea and fun.

Laguna Waterpark consists of four distinctive zones – Surf, Relax, Slide and Splash. It features five main rides, two of which are ground breakers for the Middle East. There is also full access to a pool lounge, beach access to La Mer North Beach, children’s zone, lazy river, food kiosks and a merchandise store.

According to Laguna Waterpark, it has been a good ride so far. The waterpark offers great value, with prices starting from just AED99. The waterpark’s direct beach access gives guests the opportunity to take a break from the slides and explore the beauty of La Mer, with unlimited re-entry to the waterpark. Further, Laguna Waterpark takes pride in bringing not one, but many firsts to the region, including the first Manta family ride in the Middle East with a 4.1m mega drop exit and the WaveOz – 180 FlowRider, the first in the GCC.

However, the biggest challenge that the park has faced since opening was the Dubai summer. During the hotter months, Laguna Waterpark ensured the water was set at a cooler temperature for guest comfort. But guests did have difficulties carrying the tubes up the slide tower. This year the park is thrilled to have overcome this hurdle, following the installation of the conveyor belt, just in time for summer. In fact, since opening in 2018, Laguna Waterpark had identified the need for a conveyor belt to enhance the guest experience.
