Home-grown brand Café Bateel serving Mediterranean cuisine marks its 10th year anniversary with celebrations starting today, when guest will be welcomed in cafés with a complimentary glass of Bateel’s famous sparkling date juice.

Beginning in agriculture with its date palm groves at Al Ghat, Saudi Arabia, Bateel is now an internationally recognised conglomerate with boutiques and cafés across the globe, from London to the US. Having reinvented and elevated the date to a gourmet product, Bateel has since grown to become an admired gourmet food brand, renowned globally for culinary excellence.

Taking the brand a step further, Café Bateel was launched in Dubai in 2007, introducing a new concept in casual dining celebrating Mediterranean fare, curated by Bateel. Currently there are 29 cafés in five countries. The brand’s strong philosophy of quality and service has prevailed to position Café Bateel as one of the regions favourite casual restaurants, beloved for its innovative yet accessible menu offering a tempting selection of delicious, wholesome food and beverages served in a warm yet sophisticated atmosphere.

“This year marks the 10th year anniversary of Café Bateel. Our ten-year journey, providing truly unique and rich culinary experience to loyal Café Bateel customers around the Gulf, has been inspirational. Our firm commitment to the Bateel brand values of quality, innovation and authenticity, which has earned us a unique position in the market, shall continue to delight our customers and inspire all of us at Bateel to reach new heights. Looking forward we will continue with our mission to offer sustainable and healthy choices by expanding our organic ingredients range and fair trade practices,” says Dr Ata Atmar, managing director, Bateel International.

Café Bateel will mark the occasion with a menu carefully curated by Bateel’s revered executive chef, Jean Luc Vila. The menu reflects Café Bateel’s authenticity and dedication to quality and innovation with a nod to the company’s Arabic heritage. Offering a taste of some of Bateel’s classic dishes, whilst including some new and original flavours the menu will showcase the best in Mediterranean fare using quality Fairtrade ingredients.

As Bateel marks 10 successful years the group looks to the future with an exciting calendar of menus and flavours and dynamic expansion, whilst never wavering from the wholesome Mediterranean fare and distinctive Arabic hospitality Café Bateel has become synonymous with.
