Majid Al Futtaim has bolstered the Fujairah government’s tourism efforts by introducing convenient services for tourists all year round at City Centre Fujairah.

City Centre Fujairah runs a special shuttle bus service to and from the mall for tourists staying at the Radisson Blu Resort, Miramar Al Aqah Resort, Rotana Fujairah and Oceanic Khorfakkan Resort and Spa daily. First launched in 2013, the service has benefitted more than 5,000 tourists visiting the mall this year.

“City Centre Fujairah has seen a year-on-year increase in the number of tourists visiting our shopping destination, which is in line with the overall growth of the tourism industry in the emirate,” says Abdulla Al Blooshi, mall manager at City Centre Fujairah. “Initiatives such as our complimentary shuttle bus service to and from the mall for guests of our partner resorts supports Fujairah government’s goal to attract tourists with convenience-based services across the city.”

“Our diverse mix of retail and dining options, and exclusive entertainment and gamification concepts provide families the opportunity to experience immersive technology all year round. This year, we witnessed a 12% increase in the number of tourists that visited the mall. City Centre Fujairah’s unique offerings have greatly contributed to putting the emirate on the map and encouraging people from the other emirates and the wider region to visit,” he adds.

Fujairah is a popular staycation destination, with people travelling from other emirates for a laid-back holiday, breathtaking nature views and outdoor adventure. The emirate is also rich in culture and history with attractions such as the Al Bidyah Mosque and Fujairah Fort that is a highlight for tourists who come from all over the world. Figures by the Fujairah Statistics Centre reveal a year-on-year increase in the number of tourists visiting the serene emirate. More than 764,734 guests stayed at the 21 hotels in Fujairah last year.
