ECity

UAE-based consumer electronics brand and a subsidiary of Albatha Holding, ECity is now open at Yas Mall in Abu Dhabi. Spanning 7,500 sqft, the new store is located on the ground floor of the mall, offering easy and convenient access to customers. The store takes on a specially designed layout to provide customers with a more personalised shopping experience.

With a contemporary look and style, the newly-opened ECity outlet features a wide spectrum of the latest innovations in smart mobiles, gadgets, audio, video, large and small home appliances, personal care products, gaming and toys, laptops, smartphones, tablets, wearables and cameras. An extensive range of different accessories across all categories as well as personal and lifestyle items are also available at the outlet.

According to the ECity’s senior officials, the opening proves to be both timely and strategic as a recent report from Euromonitor International shows that the portable consumer electronics sub-category is expected to keep its lead with high sales forecast in 2020. Amidst the ongoing COVID-19 pandemic, business continues to grow and can be attributed to the preventive measures that the government has implemented to curb the spread of the virus.

With ECity is now open at Yas Mall, CEO Jaouad Dakir said, “We are proud to announce the opening of a new ECity outlet here at the Yas Mall. This is our 4th store to be opened in the Abu Dhabi area, a place where we see tremendous potential, with 12 stores in total in the UAE. Being the capital city and a known economic hub, we see an increase in demand for the latest consumer electronics products, which we are committed to delivering to our customers through a premium personalised in-store experience. Yas Mall is a landmark in Abu Dhabi, and we are proud to be located in an exclusive retail destination that offers bespoke customer experiences.”

“We believe that brick-and-mortar stores continue to play a significant role in providing authentic shopping experiences to customers, especially in our efforts to build closer relationships with them and patronise our products. The opening of the new outlet will be followed by the availability of an e-commerce version of the store, giving our customers the full omnichannel experience,” he added.

Dakir pointed out that the GCC region’s growing demand for electronic goods has prompted the company to expand its presence. He revealed that four more ECity outlets will soon open across various strategic locations in the UAE in 2021.

“We are seeing a continuously increasing demand for electronic goods in the region, prompting us to open more outlets across the UAE and the rest of the GCC. In fact, the opening of this new outlet at Yas Mall demonstrates our confidence in the economic growth of the region and is also a sign of our commitment towards delivering top quality service for our retail customers,” Dakir concluded.
