An eco-friendly underwater theme park is, reportedly, getting ready for an August 2019 opening in Bahrain, within the Kingdom’s master-planned island city Diyar Al Muharraq.

The Bahrain Underwater Theme Park – said to be one of the largest globally – will include several unique dive spots. Artificial coral reefs will be submerged in the later stages of the project to serve as a safe haven for the local marine ecosystem, mentioned a statement issued by the Bahrain Tourism and Exhibitions Authority (BTEA).

According to BTEA, on completion, it will be the largest diving park in the world, covering an area of over 1.07 million sqft.
