Nespresso opens new boutique in Marina Mall Abu Dhabi

Swiss brand Nespresso, known for its premium portioned coffee, has launched a new boutique in Marina Mall, Abu Dhabi. Located centrally in the main atrium of the mall, the Nespresso boutique opened last week and is the second location of its kind in the UAE.

Spanning over 600 sqft, the Nespresso boutique in Abu Dhabi Marina Mall celebrates coffee and its origins. Everything from the colour palette and crema-inspired golds to the floor tiles and lamps that echo those used on the coffee farms have been carefully designed to link to coffee.

The boutique has been designed to immerse guests in a bespoke coffee journey, the new boutique encourages exploration. It features two sensory touch points – a Sensorial Welcome and Discovery at the Bar – each has been carefully designed to enhance customer experience.

The stunning design of the new boutique features light, soothing colours with green spaces to evoke freshness. The customer journey is open and free-flowing as they explore the boutique and witness the Nespresso coffee and sustainability story come to life.

True to its unique ‘Boutique in Box’ design, it is located right in the middle of the Marina Mall and is not housed in a retail store, underscoring its unrestricted nature.

Nespresso’s commitment to sustainability is apparent in the boutique. A testament to the brand’s ambition to achieve a network of 100% environmentally friendly boutiques by 2020. Nespresso is implementing a certified protocol to closely measure and reduce the carbon footprint of each new opening. At the boutique, the table-tops are made from used coffee grounds from the Nespresso factory in Switzerland and the wood has been 100% sourced from reforestation programmes. Even the technological systems in place reduce energy and water consumption, while a recycling collection point and a bespoke artwork add a local touch to the boutique.

“The new boutique concept brings a new sensory coffee experience unlike any other to our customers in Abu Dhabi. From the initial concept to the final boutique that is now open, every detail received meticulous attention. The concept will take visitors on a carefully crafted journey that encourages exploration and is a celebration of coffee moments. We are confident the various elements of the boutique will make customers view coffee in a completely new light,” says Julien Mario, regional business manager for Middle East & Africa at Nespresso.
