Union Coop opens a large warehouse Coop Factory

UAE-based consumer cooperative, Union Coop opens a large warehouse Coop Factory. It is one of the largest commodity warehouses in the Middle East, and Union Coop’s wholesale branch to sell food and non-food commodities.

Located in the Al Tayy suburb – Dubai, Coop Factory spans 161,460 sqft and will sell commodities at wholesale prices. Designed as a self-service concept, Coop Factory includes around 10,000 food and non-food products with a capacity to accommodate over 200 shoppers at a time. As Union Coop opens a large warehouse Coop Factory, the facility is equipped with state-of-the-art modern technology to secure a sustainable commodity stock that meets all needs in different circumstances.

Talking about the importance of this initiative, Khalid Humaid Bin Diban Al Falasi, CEO, Union Coop said, “This comes within the framework of supporting the wise UAE leadership’s direction, translating the rational aim of providing sustainable food resources in the country and building a food security system as a top priority.”

“We appeal to the competent government authorities to fasten the process of necessary approvals and paperwork so that it enables us to match our project and branch opening timelines,” Al Falasi added, highlighting the need for the authorities to build the necessary roads and infrastructure facilities surrounding Coop Factory for hassle-free functioning.
