Level Shoes collaborates with Gabriela Hearst

Chalhoub Group’s luxury footwear concept, Level Shoes has announced an exclusive partnership with women’s luxury ready-to-wear and accessories designer, Gabriela Hearst to launch the brand’s handbag collection, towards late March.

Level Shoes is the only retailer in the region to house Hearst’s handbag collection. The partnership will also feature the global debut of the exclusively designed ‘Walk-woman’, a limited-edition hand-crafted clutch by Gabriela Hearst.

On her partnership with Level Shoes, Hearst said, “We are delighted to partner with Level Shoes as we launch a new bag silhouette and feature the breath of our whole handbag collection for an exclusive time in store. The ‘Walk-woman’ is a clutch inspired by the first recordable media player and named after the empowerment of the future.”

“It was mechanically constructed by two teams of craftsmen in Italy. The jewellers crafted the body using metal and stones. Handbag craftsmen produced the interchangeable cases and straps in nappa leather and crocodile,” Hearst explained.

Based on the concept of ‘luxury with a conscience’, the timeless and architecturally distinct collection will be available to shop at the Gabriela Hearst installation in-store at Level Shoes for a limited two-week period. Commenting on the installation, Hearst stated, “We wanted to create an installation that was least wasteful as possible. By using existing materials and avoiding the use of new natural resources, we had to be savvy in order to create a beautiful and luxurious space with these limitations.”
