Local brands in focus in Spinneys

UAE’s home-grown supermarket chain Spinneys will highlight the growing importance of local food and drink producers this Ramadan.

Spinneys have hundreds of locally produced products on its shelves from fresh fish to organic vegetables, camel milk chocolate to juices. The commercial team at Spinneys work closely with local suppliers to identify gaps in the current range and to develop products that suit the UAE consumer and meet with the quality standards expected by its customers. This year the team also developed an exclusive Ramadan range, which is a first for this market.

Among the local brands available in Spinneys this Ramadan are Fish Farm, Al Dahra, Camelicious and Fit Fresh, among others.

“We are blessed with a strong understanding of what the local culture and community needs at this time of year to ensure our range of products and the way we run our stores is aligned to those needs,” says Spinneys Dubai CEO, Matthew Frost. “This year our message is ‘Share the Goodness’ and as part of this, we will be highlighting all of the local goodness right here in the UAE as we showcase our vast range of local ingredients and partners.”

“Food plays an important part during Ramadan and the Spinneys team has developed a variety of exciting products that combine traditional Arabic flavours of the region with a modern twist. Our deli and bakery have both been particularly busy developing new ranges that make entertaining at home a little easier,” he adds.
